Tuesday 8th March saw International Women’s Day celebrated around the world. Alongside this, Speaking of events, I wanted to thank Trafford Council and Unison Manchester Branch for their support in putting on International Women’s day celebrations. This is one of my favourite annual events and it goes from strength to strength, there are so many women who are excellent role models in our community and I am grateful that they attend this event to inspire female leaders of the future.

The line up for this year included the incredibly talented Claire Mooney, alongside Nina Gillian, Zoe Inman, Faiza Manzoor, Sonia Stewart, Jane Slater, Rachel Akili and Dr Helen Allen. A fantastic schedule of speakers who spoke passionately about their topics.
