I recently visited an allotment in Sale run by Trafford Veterans.

On the day, Cracking Good Food were running a growing and cooking session for ex-servicemen and women.  To see the community looking after supporting people who have given so much for our country was a humbling experience and it was great to chat to the veterans and volunteers there as we learned all about the amazing work that the charity is doing.

I had a fascinating day and I really enjoyed meeting all the people I met – thank you very much to Cllr Judith Lloyd who continues to make Trafford a better place for Veterans and the team running the allotment project.
