I was delighted to see Marcus Rashford awarded an MBE this weekend, as well as being a superbly talented footballer (and I say that as a blue) he has been a fantastic ambassador for his family and for our community. In telling his story Marcus has done so much to reduce the stigma around debt, poverty and around needing support. As we head into what is likely to be a very challenging winter I would like to give you the opportunity to come and talk to us about how debt has impacted you and what we can do about it.
Do you live in Wythenshawe or Sale East? Has your life been impacted by debt?
The Covid-19 crisis has affected us all in one way for another, however for many the uncertainty of the pandemic caused many of us struggling to service debts or to pay for essentials.
I would like to hear your stories, whether they are past or your current experiences on debt, on how you got into it, how you got out of it and how it affected your life.
Struggling households are now facing a cliff edge; with temporary protections from the government ending soon and so much uncertainty in so many sectors of work. You are not alone with this.
We want to hear from you, and work with you to find solutions.
Please join us by registering for the event in Zoom by clicking the link above, if you have any questions or comments before or for the meeting please pop them in the questions & comments box. You can remain anonymous if you would like to.
