Last week I participated virtually during Treasury oral questions. I raised the case of Wythenshawe and Sale East constituent Teresa McGeough, who is a newly self-employed dyslexia assessor and specialist support teacher. Teresa has not been eligible for any financial support from the Government since the pandemic hit last March due to being newly self-employed.
There are many others across Wythenshawe and Sale East just like Teresa who have been excluded from economic support. The Government have had almost a year to address this issue, and I was disappointed with the response from the Minister.
I will continue to work with the #Excluded group and highlight concerns of my constituents with the Government.
