Wythenshawe & Sale East MP, Mike Kane will be taking part in a blindfold walk with local resident and RNIB volunteer campaigner Nick Goodwin on Friday.

Mr Goodwin invited Mr Kane to do the walk in order to illustrate the difficulties which are experienced by blind and partially sighted people on a day to day basis.

Mike, who will be joined by local Councillors Joanne Bennett and Philip Gratrix said: “Nick invited me to take part in the walk after we met at my local advice surgery where he raised with me his concerns about people cycling on the pavement.”

“I was happy to accept Nick’s invitation, I hope that the experience will give me a better understanding of some of the many difficulties blind and partially sighted people face every day.”
