Mike speaks out on cuts to Greater Manchester Police

Mike Kane MP said:  “Cuts to Police funding have already impacted hard in Northern Metropolitan areas including Greater Manchester, with estimates that there are a further £157million in cuts to come for Greater Manchester Police.”

“When I questioned the Home office Minister today concerning the Police Funding Formula deal he has reached he refused to rule out that any deal negotiated could be undermined by the Comprehensive Spending Review at the end of November.”

“The Governments latest responses means that uncertainty remains. This is bad news for the residents of Greater Manchester.”
