Mike Kane calls for justice for women in Wythenshawe and Sale East who have been mistreated by the acceleration of the state pension age.

Mike, who met with a group of women who have been impacted by the Government’s decision in his constituency office last week, said:

“Women who have worked hard all of their lives are set to lose out as a result of these mishandled reforms and many are desperately worried about their retirement plans”.

“It is not surprising that the pension minister who introduced these reforms described them as a ‘bad decision’.”

“That is why I am determined to stand up for the women in Wythenshawe and Sale East and their families who are set to lose out as a result of these mistakes.”

The Government knows it is wrong on this issue and is desperately hoping that it will go away.

“These women, who have had their retirement plans ruined, need proper, fair, transitional arrangements putting in place as a matter of urgency.”
